DoorBell
Student hostel beds near campus, booked from a phone.
Finding a hostel in Ghana usually means walking the streets near campus, paying an agent for a list, or trusting a WhatsApp group. DoorBell puts the listings in one place and handles the whole transaction, so a student can go from searching to a signed agreement without leaving their phone.
For students. Browse hostels near your university, see which rooms still have free beds, request a bed for the semester and pay the listed rent online once the landlord confirms. The tenancy agreement is signed online and both sides keep a copy. Requests, payments, messages with the landlord and any dispute all live in one account.
For landlords and hostel managers. List a hostel with photos, house rules and prices; add rooms and bed counts; confirm or decline requests; message tenants; and see views, booking requests, occupancy and conversion for each listing. Rent is collected by DoorBell, a facilitation fee is deducted, and the balance is settled to the landlord’s mobile money or bank account, with the breakdown shown for every payment.
Trust is the product. A landlord’s identity and payout details are required before a listing can go live, listings are reviewed before they are marked verified, rent is paid through the platform rather than in cash, and every booking has a dispute process with response deadlines behind it.
